Cumana v. Miami-Dade Community College

Summary

Students at Miami-Dade Community College were stopped by campus security while distributing evangelistic literature. The College’s policy required approval of all literature one week prior to distribution and limited distribution to a predetermined location. With help and funding from ADF, an allied attorney filed a suit on behalf of the students, and the College subsequently agreed to adopt a new policy that allowed literature distribution without prior restraint.
