Dozier v. Houle

Summary

A student at Yuba City Community College was threatened with expulsion or arrest by a campus police officer for distributing religious literature on campus and holding a sign with a gospel message. The university president echoed the threats of the campus police. ADF filed suit on behalf of the student. The University subsequently settled the case, revising the policies to protect students’ rights to speak freely on campus.
