Justice For All at the University of California, Santa Barbara

Summary

When the Pro-Life Ambassadors at University of California, Santa Barbara, sought to bring the Justice For All exhibit to campus in 2008, the University informed the group that it would need to pay $75 per hour for any police intervention required. ADF sent a demand letter to the University and informed it that the practice of charging students for additional security costs caused by the audience reaction to speech is unconstitutional. The University subsequently decided not to charge any security fees to the group and the event took place as scheduled.
