Pro-Life Cougars at the Unviersity of Houston

Summary

Pro-Life Cougars, a student group on the University of Houston, sought permission to have a Christian concert “for life” on campus. The University imposed requirement on the group not placed on other clubs, including paying for the cost of on-campus police security, the financial implications of which would have prevented the group from moving forward. ADF send a demand letter threatening a federal lawsuit if it did not treat the pro-life group the same as other campus groups, and the University swiftly withdrew the extraordinary requirements.
