Pro-Life Cougars v. University of Houston

Summary

Pro-Life Cougars at University of Houston invited Justice For All to bring its pro-life exhibit to campus in 2001. However, the University refused to allow the exhibit on the main part of campus because it found the pro-life message (including pictures of babies at various stages of development) to be “potentially disruptive.” ADF filed a lawsuit and the District Court awarded the group summary judgment and a permanent injunction. The University subsequently agreed to amend its policies and protect the First Amendment rights of all groups.
