University Students for Life v. SUNY Buffalo

Summary

SUNY Buffalo had a student fee policy that enabled it to discriminate on the basis of viewpoint in awarding fees to student groups, and it used this policy to deny funding to a pro-life group. Aided by ADF, Students for Life filed suit, and in 1998 a federal court entered an order requiring the University to provide the group with the same access to student fees as other groups.
