Alpha Iota Omega v. Moeser

Summary
In 2004, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill de-recognized a Christian fraternity for refusing to incorporate into its organizational constitution the school’s religion and sexual orientation nondiscrimination statement, which would have prevented the group from requiring its membership and leadership to be Christian. ADF filed a lawsuit, and the University subsequently changed its policy, preserving the right of groups retain their faith-based requirements for officers and members.
