Barnes v. Zaccari

Summary

In 2007, Valdosta State University expelled student Hayden Barnes for protesting the former University president’s plan to use $30 million in student fees to construct two parking garages on campus. Barnes filed a federal law suit, and the University of Georgia System’s Board of Regents reversed his expulsion. ADF submitted two amicus briefs in the case supporting Mr. Barnes.
