Christian Legal Society Chapter at University of South Carolina v. Sorenson

Summary

In 2008, the University of South Carolina had a policy that prohibited religious student groups from receiving allocated student activity fee funding. It also requires events to be “content neutral” to receive funding, which violated Supreme Court precedent. ADF and the Christian Legal Society filed suit against the school. The University subsequently amended its policies to comply with the First Amendment.
