College Republicans at San Francisco State University

Summary

In 2008, the College Republicans at San Francisco State University contacted ADF about a University rule that prevented student groups from holding outdoor events on campus until further notice while the University’s policy regarding outdoor expression was rewritten. Pursuant to the policy, the University was refusing to allow the College Republicans to hold a 9/11 Memorial in an outdoor plaza. ADF sent a demand letter and the University subsequently agreed to allow the College Republicans to hold its event as planned.
