Dutchess Christian Fellowship

Summary

In 2007, the Christian Fellowship Club at Dutchess Community College amended its constitution to include Scripture references and a statement of faith to which leaders and voting members must agree, but the College’s student government committee rejected the constitution, saying it violated the separation of church and state and the university’s antidiscrimination policy. ADF advised to the club and, when Student Government learned ADF was involved, it agreed to accept the club and give them all the rights and benefits of a student organization.
