Employee at California State University, East Bay

Summary

Every year, an employee at Cal State University East Bay put up a five-foot tall Christmas tree in the front lobby. In 2012, a University official told him that the tree had to go. The head of the faculty committee also complained and threatened to take the issue to the University president. ADF advised the Director of Student Judicial Affairs that the Christmas tree did not violate the Establishment Clause, and the University allowed the tree to remain.
