Student at Hunter College

Summary

In 2008, a professor asked a graduate student at Hunter College School of Social Work, City University of New York (CUNY), to participate in class discussions to generate opposing viewpoints. When the student did (in a piece entitled “How Obama Was Elected President”), she was fired from her field placement and suspended from the social work program. ADF advised the student and succeeded in assisting her to be readmitted to the social work program. In 2010, she graduated.
